To Members of the International 505 Class

On behalf of the International Rules Committee and with the approval of the International Executive Committee, I wish to announce a Measurement Interpretation in relation to inserts in the centreboard case:

Measurement Interpretation, December 2006: Rule B 5.6.1. The IRC has agreed to permit under rule B 5.6.1 the insertion of a single insert of maximum dimensions 100mm x 80mm x 35mm wide, and wholly above the waterline. This interpretation shall apply for the World Championship 2007 in Adelaide, and thereafter, subject to approval at the AGM, until incorporated into a rule change or rejected by ballot.
